I’m a Senior Design Mentor at the Apple Developer Academy, a product designer, and an educator. My work sits in the intersection of technology and learning, with an interest in data visualisation, sustainable mobile design, and how digital experiences shape our attention and everyday lives.
I’ve followed curiosity toward the next way of making. I began in editorial design at Folha de S.Paulo in Brazil, where I learned to shape information into stories. That curiosity led me to the Apple Developer Academy in Naples, where I learned to code and discovered how to combine design and technology. I later took that practice into digital products in Vienna. These experiences, today, come together in how I design, teach, and help others explore technology.
Good design is not only about making technology easier to use. It is about understanding people, making complex things meaningful, and creating experiences that leave room for curiosity, connection, and presence.
When we think about sustainability in technology, we often picture data centers, rare earth minerals, or the carbon footprint of shipping hardware across the globe. An app often feels weightless by comparison. An animation doesn’t look like pollution. And yet, when those choices are multiplied across millions of devices, used for hours every day, they quietly accumulate into something far from negligible.
heart/work is an iOS app that generates original artwork based on your unique health information. Bridging the gap between well-being and health data, heart/work creates layered visuals to provide at-a-glance synopsis using meditative breathing exercises, your heartbeat, health data from the Apple Watch and environmental data from your current surroundings.
The app was developed by a group of master class students of the Apple Developer Academy in Napoli, Italy, and is available for free on the App Store. With it, users can measure and understand the actual noise level in their current position and obtain further analysis to make better decisions on avoiding high noise levels over time. All users contribute as "citizen scientists" by creating a global map of noise level distribution.
